How Can severe Lower Back Pain Be Treated?

I had minopr lower back pain 2 months ago, it subsided with increased activity. It seemed to move to the right and caused pain in my hip which has subsided. Now I have a cramp like sensation in that leg that gets worse whe I sit and lay, it is fine when I stand and walk and even do mild aerobics. When I walk up and down stairs it feels weak, like my knee is going to buckle. No pain, just a cramp like feeling and weakness.

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns ..

I think you may have a kindof a muscular sprain or sciatica due to nerve compression but dont worry sometimes it subsides simultaneously without medications .
For my patients i may suggest painkillers like advil tabs when needed , muscle relaxants , B12 vitamin supplementation , hot massages with topical gels will be effective for most of cases .
If pain persists i suggest X ray and MRI for proper evaluation and management .
